    The Quiet American

The title is my movie-for-today, and below are two far more intelligent information providers.

    WIKI:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quiet_American
    IMDB:http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0258068/

Vietnam, the forever scar on the head of American version of Harry Potter, if there exists any.
Three people are involved in one love triangle, yet their personality and ideology typically stand for their countries. The old, sarcastic and calm observer from London Times, the obedient and quiet Vietnam mistress, and a brave man under cover with innocent intention to save world - undoubtedly a naive American. Maybe the love triangle itself represents the conflict between American idealism and colonialism, over the solely western wish to convert communism.

Disputed views shall be cherished, yet the American national policy is bravely scorned. Its intention to involve as a third party, to do more de facto harm with an innocent intention. The idealistic dream of being world's superman.
Yet, I admire this pure spirit, at only spiritual level.

Allow people democracy - the right to choose, and they vote for Hồ Chí Minh. So what should be America's next step, telling them it is a wrong choice from their perspective? That's not democracy, that's colonialism.

Gotta couple of research to do. Wish good luck for everyone.

    ps.

I never could have imagined Rupert Everett would appear in Boston Legal!!! The British hypocritical verbal phrase of 'pleasant surprise' suits not my aspired emotional feelings.

    However charming, still not heterosexual...orz...
